The Renommee is the successor to
our most successful Casablanca ever, the Prestige. The Renommee is available in
two different versions, giving users a choice of specifications:
- Renomee with an Intel Pentium 4 processor 3.0 GHz, 512 MB DDR-RAM
- Renomee PLUS with an Intel Pentium 4 processor, 3.8 GHz, 1024 MB DDR2-RAM

The all-new Casablanca Renommee
Plus incorporates the latest technological advances to bring you the fastest
Casablanca ever. In terms of rendering and processing speed, the Renommee Plus
equals the Solitaire Plus.
Each Renommee is shipped with a 300 GB hard-drive in an exchangeable drive sled
and with a Dual-Layer Pioneer DVD burner (latest model).
Software is installed from CD/DVD – due to this, the Renommee no longer requires
a Smart Media drive. Of course, all required front and back connectors are still
there.
Casablanca Renommee is shipped with the newly released
Smart Edit 6 The Renommee Plus is the ideal machine for demanding users. The
Renommee Plus’ high performance capabilities make it ideal for the demands of
HDV editing.

NOTE: Existing Kron/Kron Plus customers may use their current HDs in their new
Renommee Plus after upgrading their HD with Smart Edit 5 or 6 (and require the
Renommee/Plus HD Sled). Existing Prestige customers may also use their current
HDs with their HD sleds in a new Renommee Plus but must also reformat their HD
with Smart Edit 5 or 6.

Casablanca Renommee
In terms of rendering and
processing speed, the Renommee is on a par with the Solitaire system, while the
Renommee Plus is comparable to a Solitaire Plus. Both Renommee units are shipped
with a 300 GB hard-drive in an exchangeable drive sled and with a Pioneer DVD
burner (latest generation). Although both systems are in fact newly designed, we
have decided to retain the popular case design of the Prestige.
Software installation is possible from CD/DVD – due to this, the Renommee no
longer requires a Smart Media drive. Of course, all required front and back
connectors are still there. The HD sled is compatible with the Prestige – you
can use your Prestige drive with the same sled in the Renommee (see note at
bottom of this page). Casablanca Renommee is shipped with the newly released
Smart Edit 6.
In using the latest components, in comparison to the Prestige, the Renommee
really takes off in terms of speed. The table below gives you an indication of
the performance increase. It’s almost five times faster than a Prestige!
This makes Renommee the ideal machine for demanding users. For HDV editing,
excellent performance is elementary for comfortable, fast and fluent work.

Trade-In Program
Current Casablanca owners are can trade in their Casablanca editor to a new
Renommee (including full transfer of software) for $2500 for a limited time.
NOTE: Existing Kron/Kron Plus customers may use their current HDs in their new
Renommee after upgrading their HD with Smart Edit 5 or 6 (and require the
Renommee/Plus HD Sled). Existing Prestige customers may also use their current
HDs with their HD sleds in a new Renommee but must also reformat their HD with
