I've been known to jokingly say, "We became Casablanca dealers because our friends were bankrupting us with technical support.", but that's not the whole truth . . . 

It all started in 2001 when I volunteered to work at the MacroSystem booth at the WEVA Expo. My invitation was accepted, and before I knew it, I was on a plane to LasVegas for the WEVA Expo. Prior to the opening of the trade show, I worked with the team from MS setting up the booth, hooking up machines, loading footage on the editors in the test drive area, and basically anywhere I was needed.  When the show floor opened to WEVA members, I was baptized into the life of the NEVER ENDING trade show!  I talked to so many people that I had to go out and buy throat spray after the first day!  Even with the hoarse voice, I thoroughly enjoyed my first day as a trade show vendor. 

During the trade show, many Casablanca users came to me, said hello, asked questions, shook my hand, and some started asking if I was a MS dealer.  When I said no, many people told me that I should be a dealer.  It was then that I started thinking, why wasn't I a dealer? During Wednesday night's dinner, I inquired with David Slone (then President of MSUS) and he said, "I think you'd make a great dealer."  So, the ball was rolling, and he put me in touch with the head of sales in Boulder. 

I was soon contacted by the owner of O-Com Sales (at that time, O-Com was the area manufacturer rep for MacroSystem US, Inc.).  After all the legalities and contractual agreements were said and done, Marlisa and I had a full line Casablanca dealership!  We then went through the painstaking processes of  obtaining a tax reseller ID and incorporating our business.  So, in March of 2002, MRG Video Productions became a division of MRG Video, Inc.

We still maintain and run MRG Video Productions, and utilize Casablanca units as our primary editors for weddings, events, training videos and photo montages. So you see, we're Casablanca USERS as well as being a full line dealer.

Since 2002, MRG Video, Inc. has specialized in Casablanca video editors.  We don't sell monitors, we don't sell cameras, we sell Casablancas, period.  Specializing in Casablanca products allow us to better serve and support our customers.  You'll be hard pressed to find a dealer who will support you as well as MRG Video, Inc.
